- Don’t play it safe! You obviously don’t want to create an advertisement that is insensitive, disturbing, or hurtful. But nothing is worse than an ad that offers nothing but a couple of smiling people who laugh and then consume your product. Be creative with how you want to tell your story. And be aware of what you want the viewer to feel. Even if you create something weird and confusing, at least the viewer will continue to think about your product. Dorito’s as a company, has made multiple odd commercials that shock and amuse viewers, and those are the ads that continue to be talked about and enjoyed.
